The Bullets, who until this year lounged around near the bottom of the pack in each of their first several years in the league, outlasted Aaron Pankoke’s The Strokes, the Regular Season Champs who were hoping to become the first repeat SLPL Champ. “I feel bad for Aaron,” the new champ Cummings said. “I know he’s a huge Cubs fan, I know he didn’t want Konerko because he didn’t want a White Sox on his team, and I know he’s hurting bigtime today because the White Sox won it all while he lost the SLPL championship because he didn’t have Konerko. But he can’t be too upset … he won as much money as I did.” Both Cummings and Pankoke won $700 for their championships.
